From institute to university
Kyaukse Technological University was established in December 1998 as Government Technical Institute (GTI). It became Government Technological College (GTC) in January 2001 and was upgraded to Technological University on 20 January 2007.
The university has been fully funded by the Government since it was founded.
Quality and regional engagement
The university introduced an ISO 9001 Quality Management System in 2016 and became an ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance associate member in October 2019.
